Dhikala forest rest house is the largest and most beautiful tourism zone of Corbett Tiger Reserve consisting of large grasslands, river beds, sal, and mixed forests. Managed by the forest division that is working under the organization of Corbett National Park, Dhikala Forest Zone is situated in the center of Corbett national park. The entrance gate for the Dhikala forest rest house Zone is the famous Dhangarhi gate. At this point, you are required to show your permits to the forest guards for entry. You can enter the Dhikala forest rest house range through the Dhangarhi Gate and the timing is morning 10 am to 4 pm in the evening.
This beautiful forest area is approximately 30 km from the Dhangarhi gate and takes roughly 2 hours to cover this distance if you have a fast driver. The trip from the Dhangarhi gate to the Dhikala forest zone is very adventurous and you need to go through thick sal forest and the Ramganga River along with many cyclic rivers. On the way, you will come across wildlife like herds of deer, Sambhar deer, Barking deer, Indian hog deer, Monitor Lizard, Asiatic Elephants, Jackal, Fishes, and Crocodiles, and above all if you are fortunate enough Tigers as well. Reaching Dhikala Zone: You can reach Dhikala by gate Dhangarhi that is barely 30 Kms from this wonderful forest Zone. Dhikala forest zone is 300 km from New Delhi and one can comfortably cover this distance by road, train, and by air as well. On the whole, a wonderful place that one would visit time and again and always treasure the moments spent here.
The lodge comprises two wings that are old and new and both these have rooms and dormitory accommodation. In all, it has 32 rooms that can be segregated into 6 wings. There are 4 New forest rooms, 5 old forest rooms, 6 Hutment, 6 cabins, 7 Annexe and 4 all range quarters.
The accommodation in the Dhikala forest rest house range is not luxurious ones but all the 32 rooms have attached washrooms with round the clock running hot and cold water. Though the 2 dormitories area which has 24 beds and has a common bathroom. The Dhikala forest rest house range is well protected with an enclosed solar hedge or a barrier to keep away the wild animals. The rooms are very spacious and airy and it has 2 canteens and one of the canteens has the buffet option which is affordable. The food quality here is reasonably good and cleanliness is remarkable.

By road
Dhikala, Corbett National park is around 300 kms from Delhi. It takes approx 6 hrs to reach Dhikala from Delhi.

By Train
Ramnagar is the nearest railhead to reach Dhikala. Dhikala entry gate is around 32 kms from Ramnagar railway station. Ramnagar station code is RMR.
By Air
Pantnagar is the nearest domestic airport to reach Dhikala, Corbett National park. It is only 50 km away from Corbett Park. Delhi is the nearest International Airport at a distance of 300 km.
Clothing information
Nov – Mid Dec – If you are planning to visit Dhikala from Nov to Mid Dec, then carry light woolen clothes.
Mid Dec – Feb – If you are planning to visit Dhikala from Mid Dec to Feb, then carry heavy woolen clothes, especially jackets, mufflers, hand gloves & cap (woolen).
March – April – If you are planning to visit Dhikala from March to April, then carry light jackets, sweaters etc.
May –June – If you are planning to visit Dhikala in May or June, then carry loose cotton clothes which absorb sweat very easily. Also carry sunscreen lotions, sunglasses & caps for protection from sun.
Entry timings
Dhangari gate is the main entry gate to reach Dhikala. One can enter into Dhangari gate from 06 am till 04 pm only. After 4 pm entry will not be allowed & booking will be canceled & no refund would be provided.
